Quick-start
-----------
Edit /etc/apt/sources.list and add one of:
(Debian squeeze):
deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/ squeeze main
(Debian wheezy):
deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/ wheezy main
(Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid or later, choose one of):
deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/ lucid main
deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/ precise main
deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/ quantal main
deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/ raring main
If installing Airtime on Debian squeeze you will also need the line:
deb http://backports.debian.org/debian-backports squeeze-backports main
If installing Airtime on Ubuntu, make sure the multiverse repository is enabled.
To install, enter the commands:
# sudo apt-get update
# sudo apt-get install sourcefabric-keyring
then either this for Newscoop:
# sudo apt-get install mysql newscoop
or this for Airtime:
# sudo apt-get install postgresql icecast2 airtime
Snapshots
---------
Packages in the snapshots directory are based on the git devel branch and are
not for production use. Please be extra careful to back up your system before
installing them. Better still, try them in a virtual container rather than on
your server!
Misc
----
Copies of our latest packages are provided in the misc directory for your
convenience, if you do not wish to use our apt repository. You can also find
the airtime-easy-setup and newscoop-easy-setup packages there.
